Senior Electrical Engineer

We are searching a reliable Senior Electrical Engineer to become an integral part of our dynamic team. Our projects encompass compelling ventures in the oil and gas sector, including MOPUs, FPSOs, offshore vessels, gas processing plants, and renewable energies. In this senior electrical engineer role, you are anticipated to undertake the following responsibilities:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Report to the Technical Manager, Senior Manager / GM of Coastal Dynamic.
  • Lead and manage electrical engineering aspects of oil and gas and renewable projects, including MOPUs, FPSOs, offshore vessels, gas processing plants, solar farms, energy storage technology and wind energy.
  • Oversee the electrical related technical specification, design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise in the development of electrical engineering plans, specifications, and procedures.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, budgeting and technical evaluations to support decision-making processes for new ventures and projects.
  • Develop and review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Oversee and lead electrical system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to electrical engineering in the oil and gas and renewable sector.
  • Assist the Technical Manager, Senior Manager/ GM to conceive and drive improvement processes for the Company.
  • Ensure Company policies and good practices are followed.

Requirements/Knowledge/Competencies

  • Experience: 10 – 15 years of experience in the relevant industry;
  • Education: Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office and PLC software. Familiarity with relevant electrical design and simulation tools is a plus.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and provide guidance. Must be able to work with colleagues of all levels and contribute to building a positive working environment.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex electrical engineering challenges.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing electrical aspects of projects, ensuring successful execution within specified timelines and budget constraints.
  • Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of international and local electrical codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
  • Safety: Commitment to and knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in the oil and gas sector, such as MOPUs, FPSOs, offshore vessels, gas processing plants, and the renewable sectors such as wind power, solar energy and storage technology.
  • Adaptability: Flexible working attitude and ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
