Operations Manager

We are looking for enthusiastic, driven and independent leader to join our dynamic team. Here we deal with interesting oil and gas projects such as MOPUs, FPSOs, offshore vessels and gas processing plants. Being a manager, you are expected to be carrying out the following functions:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Senior Manager/General Manager of Coastal Dynamic.
  • Review and comment on all charter contract requirement and execute accordingly.
  • Manage specific operation matters for the reliable and safe operation of company oil and gas assets.
  • Lead the planning of asset (vessels/units) readiness, including mobilization of the asset and all required clearances.
  • Prepare and submit all operation related budgets, whether is project basis or annual maintenance.
  • Manage with the relevant departments to ensure asset (vessels/units) readiness for the campaign and on time departure. This includes but not limited to manning, technical compliance, valid certifications.
  • Strategize and propose required training for staff and crews.
  • Lead inquiry on incident reported and engage relevant interdepartmental assistance where required.
  • Arrange for audits on all Company asset certifications and validity.
  • Prepare regular operational reporting to the management where requested.
  • Participate and contribute in work improvement process and ideas.
  • Manage and control all asset (vessels/units) operation and maintenance expenses, whether on idle or in operation.
  • Ensure that all operations and team members comply to the company’s safe work procedures, relevant ISO standards, related policies and objectives.
  • Ensure all vessel operations comply to the relevant regulations including compliance to ISM/ISPS/MLC requirement.
  • Coach and mentor fellow junior colleagues and subordinates. Share and provide necessary knowledge and experience with them.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Possess 15-20 years of experience in the relevant industry with strong technical and operational knowledge;
  • University degree education in Mechanical / Electrical / Marine Engineering or relevant;
  • Excellent command of English (spoken/written);
  • Proficiency in using MS Office;
  • Proficiency in using PMS software;
  • Proficiency in using technical drafting software is an added advantage;
  • Good in putting up reports and improvement proposals;
  • Good management skills and ability to lead and manage a group of subordinates;
  • Strong people & communication skills, bearing in mind work involves dealing and communicating with people from various regions, backgrounds and cultures. Teamwork is important;

  • Versatile and able to work in challenging situations;
  • Independent, energetic and self-driven with initiative;
