Technical Superintendent

Roles & Responsibilities

Guidance and mentorship from senior and experienced staff will be provided to support professional development. The Technical Superintendent will support the management and execution of offshore and marine projects, including asset inspections, maintenance planning, project coordination and technical support for company operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the assigned Supervisor/Manager of Coastal Dynamic Pte Ltd.
  • Plan and conduct regular site visits to support the company's operational activities for its assets.
  • Carry out inspections of company assets, such as vessels and offshore platforms, during construction, operation, or project evaluation stages.
  • Investigate technical issues encountered during operations and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Source, review, and evaluate quotations from vendors and suppliers for equipment, parts and services.
  • Conduct maintenance audits to assess the operational condition of company assets.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining maintenance systems for company assets where required.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders on technical and operational matters.
  • Provide progress updates to management on ongoing projects, including charter hire, development projects and new building projects.
  • Support project management activities such as site inspections, construction supervision and project coordination when required.
  • Assist in budget preparation for projects, repairs and maintenance requirements.
  • Evaluate the performance of suppliers and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (ISO), HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) standards and ESG practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department and the organisation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • A diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the offshore or marine industry.
  • Experience in supervisory or project coordination roles within the offshore or marine industry would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with project management or construction management practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with drafting software would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines such as Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Architectural Outfit or Piping would be beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams from diverse backgrounds and across different locations.
  • Candidates with Safety Supervisor or Ship Repair Manager certification will have an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel( e.g: last min travelling), including overseas assignments, when required.
